Flavor Notes: Cream, cedar, golden honey, apricot, dried fruits, black pepper, floral perfume, salt Pairing Notes: Aged rum, subtly sweet bourbon, peach or floral-infused tea, salted caramel dessert, oaky peppery red wine Manufacturer: Tabacos de Costa Rica (Isaias Santana Diaz & Andres Leon) Privada Storytelling The D’Crossier Selección Escogida Lumina is more than a cigar—it’s a declaration of artistry. Handcrafted at Tabacos de Costa Rica by master blenders Isaias Santana Diaz and Andres Leon, the Lumina was conceived exclusively for Privada Cigar Club members. Its name evokes light, clarity, and refinement, fitting for a cigar that radiates elegance with every puff. Aged five years and dressed in an exquisite Ecuadorian AA+ Habano Claro wrapper, this cigar carries with it the aura of exclusivity and the weight of tradition. Limited in production, the Lancero format embodies restraint and precision, a showcase of how true artisans express themselves in the most delicate vitola. The Lumina is not just smoked—it is experienced, revealing layer after layer like the unfolding of a symphony. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with Cuban-style grace, offering creamy sweetness, smooth cedar, and hints of golden honey and apricot. A subtle saltiness weaves in, while the retrohale delivers oak and a dusting of black pepper. Second Third: The profile grows more perfumed, with intensified floral and woody notes. Cream remains abundant, layered with apricot tang and elegant saltiness. The rare-aged tobaccos emerge here, reminding you this is no ordinary Lancero. Final Third: Dried fruits, cream, cedar, and spice converge, finishing with a salted caramel-like sweetness and refined Cuban nostalgia. Each puff is a crescendo of complexity and finesse. Why It Belongs in Privada The Lumina is a rare triumph—a cigar that not only embodies the heritage of fine tobacco but elevates it into a luxury experience reserved for the discerning. Its scarcity, meticulous craftsmanship, and Lancero form make it a collector’s dream. For Privada, it represents the pinnacle of what we stand for: authentic artistry, rare aging, and unparalleled exclusivity.

Construction on this 7x38 lancero is fantastic. The cigar is tightly packed cigar with a flag cap. Smoke production and burn are excellent. Draw is firm without being too tight. Never overheated and only one touch up in the last third, which is impressive for a lancero. At lightup, notes of cocoa, nuts, cinnamon, apricot, and cream. White pepper at 2 out of 10, and dissipates quickly. About an inch into the cigar the nutty note darkens into a bready note, with still underlying apricot sweetness. By the end of the first third, this bread note is satiating. At the outset of the second third I get some mustiness behind the sweetness, which makes sense with aged Dominican tobacco in the filler. Apricot darkens into a plum note, and the sweetness is dark, think brown sugar. There is an underlying cocoa note still. The last third is more of the same, but the toasted nut note comes to the forefront more. I nubbed this D’Crossie and put more into the cart

I am new to smoking cigars. I gave the tobacco 5 stars because it is a good cigar. I was not expecting a thin, small cigar. I watched your video/interview and that cigar was a bigger cigar. For those that have never purchased this particular cigar, know that it is well made, burns even, great draw, very relaxing feeling experience wise, plenty of smoke and a smooth taste... not bitter. Probably will not purchase again due to the size. BUT I do like this cigar!

This has become my favorite cigar. Smooth and flavorful. Thanks Privada for the introduction to the brand. Looking forward to trying more of Santana's stuff.

Excellent blend! Smooth and nice little sweetness from the habano wrapper. Just the right amount of spice on the retro. Main finish is sweet brown bread. Just wish it came in a toro. But I understand the wrapper to filler ratio may change the profile. It’s a go for me!

this is one of the best "daily drivers" out there...it has great flavor, consistent and perfect construction, and one you can either smoke first thing in the AM, midday, or as a night cap...it is versatile and beautiful and is one of those cigars that I'd pick if were on a deserted island and only had 1 cigar i could smoke an unlimited amount of...
