Privada Storytelling
This is the closing note.
Most people who roll in Nicaragua never own the house they work in. Raul does. He is one of the few local owners who stayed, who runs production out of his home, and who measures success by how his family eats. The Connecticut Shade tells that story quietly, without force.
This cigar shows the hand that earned its stripes. Underneath the silk and restraint is unmistakable Nicaraguan muscle. It is refined, patient, and honest. Not a Connecticut built for beginners, but one built for people who understand balance after a long fight.
Flavor Journey
The pre light brings fresh hay, raw almond, and a whisper of lemon zest. The first third opens with creamy cashew and graham cracker, delicate vanilla, and faint white pepper framing the bouquet. The second third develops toasted almond and light honey over a clean cedar backbone with soft citrus peel. The final third brings warm baking spice and lingering honeyed cream, finishing dry and nutty with clarity.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because this cigar represents restraint earned, not imposed. Lanuza Connecticut Shade belongs in Privada because it shows what happens when experience replaces ego. It is smooth without being soft, refined without being hollow, and honest from start to finish.
Production Notes
Rolled at Lanuza Cigar Factory in Estelí using Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade over all Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Condega. Aged one year to polish the profile while preserving clarity and structure.
